The grapefruit might be one of the strangest fruits around. Everything from its origins to how it got its name are a bit of a mystery. Its taste is almost uniquely bitter, and yet its popularity boomed in the US during the 20th Century.
But perhaps strangest of all, the grapefruit hides a deadly secret. For some people, drinking just one glass of grapefruit juice could have shocking consequences.
